PROVIDENCE, RI – A single-vehicle crash in East Providence on Sunday morning claimed the life of an 18-year-old man. The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. when Jefferson Zaid Lara Romero veered across three lanes of travel on I-195 and slammed into a barrier. The precise location of the crash is not mentioned in the report.

Romero was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later on. The incident is currently under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
