Narrative
FOSTER, RI – Two people died, and a third sustained injuries last Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along a major roadway in Foster.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. on the Hartford Pike. Authorities have not provided a cross street or mile marker for the incident.
Police say that a westbound vehicle struck another westbound vehicle after entering the eastbound lanes to execute a pass. The wreck happened when the passing vehicle re-entered the westbound lane of traffic.
The driver that caused the crash died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified him as 34-year-old Aaron McCrory.
A passenger in the vehicle that was struck also died after transport to the hospital. They’ve been identified as 81-year-old Sandi Brooks.
Medics transported the driver of the second vehicle to the hospital in stable condition and with unspecified injuries.
