Police car collides with building in Providence County

PAWTUCKET, RI – A police officer went to the hospital for a medical evaluation after his cruiser crashed into the side of a building in Pawtucket Tuesday, 10 WJAR reports.

Police say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. at the corner of George Bennett Highway and Monticello Road.

The circumstances of the accident are unclear, but officials say the police officer involved was responding to a call at the time of the crash.
