Pedestrian hospitalized after Providence hit-and-run crash

PROVIDENCE, RI – A pedestrian went to the hospital with serious injuries this morning after a hit-and-run accident in Providence, reports WPRI 12.

Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. on Allens Avenue, which runs east of and parallel to I-95.

The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries is unknown at this time, but police say the person was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Authorities have not indicated whether they have any leads on a suspected driver or vehicle, nor do we know if anyone has been arrested in connection to the incident.

The crash remains under investigation with Providence police.
