Narrative
A driver in N. Smithfield damaged a utility pole and struck a 9/11 memorial on Dec. 3rd. At 1:30a.m. the driver swerved out of control on Victory Highway and N. Main St. The pole was left in two pieces and the wood struck the Amy Jarrett Memorial. The memorial seemed to be in good condition after being hit by the pole. The driver was hospitalized at Landmark Medical Center, but did not have major injuries.
