JOHNSTON, RI – A motorcyclist is in critical condition after crashing with another vehicle along a busy roadway in Johnston on Tuesday morning, reports WLNE abc6.
The incident happened just after 7 a.m. somewhere on Hartford Avenue.
The preliminary investigation suggests that a motorcycle collided with a truck while making a left turn onto Hartford Avenue. The collision threw the motorcyclist approximately 45 yards from his bike.
Medics transported the biker to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery for critical injuries.
It is unclear if the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash. Police say they cited him for driving with a suspended license.
The motorcyclist was cited for speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving with a suspended license.
The incident remains under investigation.
