PASCOAG, RI – Four people went to the hospital, and one driver was arrested Sunday morning after two vehicles collided on a roadway in Pascoag, reports NRI NOW.
Police say the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Old Wallum Lake Road, which intersects with Ross Road and is just north of Ross Pond.
A preliminary report suggests that a northbound pickup truck veered into the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle. Those two vehicles then struck a third vehicle parked near the crash site.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 43-year-old Thomas Yasick, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Authorities say he was arrested on charges that include driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Three other people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation with law enforcement.
