Narrative
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – Police responded to a rollover crash on Wednesday morning along the interstate in central East Providence.
The incident happened sometime before 8:14 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-195 at Exit 2A, which is the exit for South Broadway and Brightridge Avenue.
Police haven’t disclosed many details about the accident. They say that at least one vehicle overturned and that the collision blocked all lanes of traffic on the eastbound side of I-195 while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
Officials re-opened all lanes of traffic by around 9:47 a.m.
It’s not yet clear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone sustained injuries.
