CRANSTON, RI – An elderly man was killed Monday afternoon in a head-on collision near Dyer And Randall Ponds.

Investigators say the driver of a passenger vehicle veered left of center on Atwood Avenue and slammed into an oncoming pickup truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, an unidentified 90-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The pickup truck’s driver was also hospitalized in serious condition.
