WESTERLY, RI – Police issued a citation to a woman in Westerly after she crashed into an abandoned house and then fled the scene, reports 10 WJAR. The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on White Rock Road near Bridge Road. Police say the driver of the vehicle, identified as Kate Killingsworth, returned to her car while crews were responding to the scene. She explained that she felt anxious and went home after hitting the structure with her vehicle. SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI – A 22-year-old man from Woonsocket died Friday morning when his vehicle crashed on a highway in South Kingstown, reports abc6. Police say the incident happened just before 1 a.m. on the southbound side of the Comd Oliver Hazard Perry Highway, or Route 1, near Congdon Drive. For unknown reasons, the victim’s 2009 Infiniti veered from the highway and collided with a tree. The driver died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Jai Juan Giguerre. EXETER, RI – Two people were hurt in Exeter when their car collided with an embankment on Monday, WPRI reports. The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Ten Rod Road. Police have not yet revealed many details regarding the crash but have shared that firefighters had to help remove one of the car occupants from the vehicle. Both car occupants were hospitalized.
