WARWICK, RI – Five people went to the hospital after two cars collided on the interstate in Warwick early Wednesday morning, WPRI 12 reports. Police say the crash involved a Lexus sedan and a Nissan Pathfinder SUV. It happened around 1 a.m. on southbound I-95 south of I-295. For unknown reasons, one of the vehicles veered off of the roadway and then returned suddenly, hitting the other vehicle. The collision caused both vehicles to flip over. WARWICK, RI – A Rhode Island State Police Officer was hospitalized after an alleged drunk driver collided with his police cruiser on I-95 in Warwick Tuesday, WPRI reports. Police say the crash happened before 2 a.m. on Tuesday near exit 14 on I-95. The police cruiser was parked with other police vehicles to form a blockade at a crash scene on the highway.
