Narrative
WEST GREENWICH, RI – Eight people went to the hospital Monday in West Greenwich after a crash involving a school bus and an Aetna Bridge Company truck towing an arrow board.
The incident happened around 8:55 p.m. along Interstate 95 at Route 102, which is just southwest of Exeter-West Greenwich Regional High School.
Police say that the Aetna Bridge truck drove across the highway, entering the path of the West Warwick High School bus carrying 41 students. The bus hit arrow board on the back of the truck.
Medics transported four students, the bus driver, and three people from the Bridge Company truck to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
