Narrative

LINCOLN, RI – Crews responded to a crash involving an oil tanker along the highway in Lincoln Thursday.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. on RI-146 near Exit 4, which is just west of Lincoln Woods State Park.

It’s not yet clear what caused the tanker to crash, nor is there any word regarding injuries.

Officials closed RI-146 in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.

An investigation is underway.
