Narrative
PROVIDENCE, RI – One person went to the hospital Friday after a vehicle struck them at a busy intersection in north Providence.
The accident happened just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Rochambeau Avenue, which is just east of North Burial Ground.
Police haven’t shared many details about the circumstances of the accident. It’s unclear if the pedestrian was in a designated crosswalk when struck. It’s also unknown if the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stopped to render aid and speak to authorities.
The pedestrian sustained injuries of unknown severity.
