Narrative
WARWICK, RI – A two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in northeast Kent County injured four people last Friday night.
The incident happened around 6p.m. at the intersection of Airport Road and Post Road, which is northwest of Rhode Island TF Green International Airport.
Police say they attempted to stop a black Toyota Tundra for registration issues when the driver of the vehicle refused to pull over. A short time later, the driver’s black Toyota Tundra collided with a Honda minivan.
Medics transported three people form the van to the hospital with injuries.
The driver of the Tundra, identified as 38-year-old Roy Mangum, sustained minor injuries. It is unclear if he required hospitalization.
Authorities say they were pursuing Mangum in connection to an armed robbery at an area bank. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree robbery and eluding police.
The investigation is ongoing.
