Narrative
PAWTUCKET, RI – Nobody was hurt when a woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the post office in Pawtucket on Tuesday night.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. at 30 Monticello Road, which is just east of George Bennett Highway and south of the McKinnon-Alves Soccer Complex
The investigation indicates that the female driver turned onto the railroad tracks when she intended to turn onto George Bennett Highway. From there, she pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes and crashed into the post office.
The building was empty at the time of the accident, and the driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
