Narrative

CRANSTON, RI – Medics transported a teen cyclist to the hospital early Wednesday evening after two vehicles struck him in a busy Cranston intersection.

The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dyer Avenue and Bracken Street, which is just northeast of Cranston Print Works Pond.

Police say that the 14-year-old cyclist failed to stop at a stop sign and entering the path of two other vehicles in the intersection. Both vehicles struck the cyclist, who went to the hospital with critical injuries.

The drivers of the vehicles were not hurt in the accident.
