JAMESTOWN, RI – More than one person went to the hospital on a Thursday morning in early August after a three-car collision on the Newport Bridge.
The incident happened on August 3rd around 11:25 a.m. on the Newport Bridge, or RI-138, which connects Jamestown with Newport.
Police have not shared many details regarding the accident. They say that rescue crews worked at the scene for over an hour.
The victims sustained non-critical injuries and were transported to a local hospital. It’s still unclear if any of the vehicles carried passengers.
