Narrative
WARWICK, RI – A 62-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman were hospitalized Wednesday after a DUI driver collided with their vehicle head on in Warwick.
The incident happened at night in the area of 3480 Post Road, which is just south of Brayton Cemetery.
Police say that the driver of a Toyota Sienna minivan veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a Toyota Camry.
Medics transported both women, identified as Janet McAuslin and Marianne Varattato, to Rhode Island Hospital. One of the victims, sustained critical injuries.
Authorities arrested Ethan Mancini, the driver of the Sienna, on charges of driving under the influence and driving to endanger.
