Narrative

PORTSMOUTH, RI – A collision involving a logging truck in Portsmouth on Saturday left a driver seriously injured.

The incident took place when the truck struck a utility pole along East Main Street, causing the logs it was carrying to dislodge and crush a car.

Emergency personnel extricated the driver of the crushed car from the wreckage. The injured driver was subsequently transported to a hospital with severe injuries.
