Narrative
BURRILLVILLE, RI – A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in southeast Burrillville on Monday evening.
Police say Brenden Mendes, 19, was operating a motorcycle that collided with a Toyota, which had turned from Lapham Farm Road onto Route 102 north at about 6:10 p.m.
“The impact of Mendes’ 2018 Yamaha crashing head-on with the 2014 Toyota resulted in Mendes being thrown from his cycle and landing on the side of Route 102, approximately 300 feet from the point of impact,” stated the police in a release.
Mendes suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Both occupants in the other vehicle involved were taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
