WARWICK, RI – Authorities have arrested a 56-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence after her car crashed into the side of a home on Providence Street in West Warwick on Thursday night.
The incident occurred when the West Warwick woman was reportedly speeding down Providence Street, lost control of her vehicle, and collided with the residence. The impact of the crash was so severe that the car’s engine was propelled into a yard across the street.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for medical attention, as per police reports. She is expected to face charges of driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
