NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI – A 69-year-old man died, and three other people went to the hospital after two cars collided in North Kingstown on Saturday, reports WJAR 10.
Police say the incident happened in the morning in the area of 1050 Slocum Road, which is just west of Rose Cemetery in Saunderstown.
It’s unclear how the crash happened, but authorities say it involved a Toyota MR2 and a Hyundai Sonata. Both vehicles carried two occupants each at the time of the accident.
The victim, identified as Mark R. Horton from Warwick, was a passenger in the Toyota. He died after transport to a local hospital.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as adult male, sustained non-critical injuries.
The two adult occupants of the Hyundai also suffered non-life threatening injuries, for which they were taken to a local hospital.
