1 hospitalized after car crashes into N Providence taqueria

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI – Medics transported a female driver to the hospital after her vehicle crashed through the front window of a North Providence restaurant on Wednesday, reports abc6 News.

Police say the incident happened just before 9 p.m. at Baja’s Tex Mex Taqueria, which is located at 1650 Mineral Springs Avenue.

The circumstances of the crash are unclear, but a manager for the restaurant told police that an elderly driver crashed into the eatery while trying to park her car. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.

Two people were working at the store at the time of the crash, and they were not hurt. No other injuries have been reported.
